OPEN THREAD: What Are Your Game Day Traditions E-mail
Written by Big Head

Seeing how the game this week is on a Friday, it might throw a hitch in your game day traditions. Most people have at least one game day tradition, most of which could be classified as 'what the hell?'. Maybe you sit in the same place? Eat the same thing? Wear the same thing?

I'll start it off.

1). Must be wearing a Mizzou jersey. Be it a Brad, Chase, or Blaine jersey, the rotation has rendered my closet as a black and gold heaven. You'd think a Friday game might kill this one off today? Nada. The one really good thing about not having a dress code at work.

2). I swear. A lot. Dammit, on to the next.

3). Budweiser. That is all.

4). I shave. Yep, I shave every game day. Even if I'm rocking the pedofile beard, a trim is in order.

What are your game day traditions? Throw them in the comments.

I give at least one listen to the "Gameday Mix" album I burned a few years ago. Yes, I even have "Gameday Mix" written on the CD with a permanent marker. Dorky? Yes. Also awesome? Absolutely.

I also try to watch as many of Zou Dave's highlight videos as possible before tailgating.

HA! methzoo, I've never heard that before. Really clever beaker squak. I'm guessing you're, what? 13-years-old?

Better to die at our opponent's hands rather than our basketball team's. Douche.

Every game day for me is different for the most part. Different locations, different ways to watch the game, but there remains one constant. If I am watching the game you best believe I've got a beer in my hand.
Traditions

Different traditions depending on the venue. I've had season tickets for the past few years For home games, tailgaiting with family and fellow alumn friends.

If I'm watching on TV, same shirt, hat, and Imos pizza (have to get it from westport). I wish they would open an Imos north of the river in KC. The wife knows to stfu and bring me beer (she is awesome). Used to drink nothing but Natty, but now that my palet is more sophisticated I've upgrated to Budlight. Before kickoff my dad and I have a 30 minute nonstop round of texting M.I.Z.....Z.O.U.

Since I've read your blog, I've incorporated the victory whiskey (old crow).

Since I've last commented on this blog, I quit my job of 5 years because they would not let me get off for the long weekend of the Nubs game....Fuck'em. I'll find a new job in January (like I said, my wife is awesome).....M...I..Z.............

You, sir, are my hero. Please, send me an autographed instruction manual for life.
