Nebraska 38 Baylor 0 With Robert Griffin, this would be a game. Without him, it shouldn't be much of one, but weren't we saying the Iowa State game would be a woodshedding in Lincoln last week as well? Baylor has a couple of good defenders, but they have the offensive punch of Glass Joe. If Cody Green cuts his teeth in this one against Baylor's D, a few bounces could go the Bears way. Zac Lee is terrible, but even then, the Huskers will roll.
Texas A&M 42 Iowa State 13 So is Iowa State for real? Which Texas A&M team will show up? These answers will be key to the game. Iowa State had eight (8!) turnovers got their way last week, and only threw up nine points. That's almost impossible to do, even trying not to score. Turnover after turnover, Iowa State's offense was anemic. Their D held the Huskers to only seven in what had to be the most exciting 16 point game I've seen in recent memory. ATM tossed 52 on the board against Tech on the road. Where the hell did that come from? ATM is home, and College Station is a bitch to win in.
Texas Tech 35 kU 21 Tech is on their RS-Freshman, third string QB. Does it really matter? You know what you get with Mike Leach and his fat girlfriend- lots of passing, some pirate shit, and a guy that will pick his nose and fart in press conferences. It hasn't mattered who they are playing, Leach sticks to that same plan. Let's just put the numbers this way- Tech ranks 1st in the B12 in passing with 418yds/game, and kU is 10th in the B12 in pass defense. Uh oh. Tech's average of 40 points a game could be rolling along if Seth Doege straps on his PF Flyers and brings his game. Not the easiest team for his first start, but good lord, did you see Todd Reesing throw pick after pick last week?
Oklahoma 52 Kansas State 10 Yeah, umm, sorry Wildcats. Here's the wall called 'Reality'. You aren't that good.
Texas 28 Oklahoma State 20 Easily the marquee game on the schedule this week. The trendy pick is OSU, but I'm trying to figure out why? We saw Texas roll last week over Mizzou, and the week before, the Pokes let up some points to the Tigers in the first half, and were stopped cold in the 2nd half. Okie State's D doesn't have the horses to stop the Horns O, and the Horns D is the best in the conference overall. Zac Robinson will have to have the game of his life to get a W, and it should be close, but the Horns roll.
