The economy is currently a wreck. Food prices are high. Gas prices are even higher. But Mizzou basketball tickets? The price of those are going down. Mike DeArmond reports that there will be a deep discounts for season and single game tickets for the upcoming season.

"We haven’t set the levels yet on our pricing, but we are going to be reevaluating the cost of our tickets,” Vince Volpe, executive director of development and the Tiger Scholarship Fund, confirmed to The (Kansas City) Star on Saturday.

“We’re re-evaluating our entire basketball model. Not just the upper deck. Throughout the entire arena.”

I don't really know what it means to be re-evaluating a basketball model. It sounds good but I'm just wondering why they couldn't have given the students a little piece of that discount pie? I guess they thought the $250 that students have to shell out for football and basketball season tickets was low enough that they didn't need the price cut. Based on all the nights I eat Ramen Noodles for dinner I'm going to have to disagree.
