We've been doing a lot of talking about how this year's basketball team is just different from last year's. But it's been really difficult to put into words just how exactly it's different. Well, sometimes a picture (or several pictures) is worth a thousand words.
I was thumbing through the Post-Dispatch's photo gallery from Saturday and was struck by the number of photos showing players scowling, fist-pumping or laughing. The theme? Emotion. Intensity. Passion. All things that were missing from last year's squad.
