I received some feedback from a couple Antlers following my Tuesday post concerning the current state of the Antlers. I feel like the guys that commented made some very valid points that I overlooked and so I've decided to post the e-mail that the president of the Antlers, Brent, sent to our MizzouRah e-mail account:
As a long time reader of your blog, I'd like to say I respect your opinions greatly. I'm currently the President of the Antlers and I took over a dwindling group, but I'm trying to revive it as best as possible. I agree the last couple years haven't been quite up to par, but I'd like to know if you had any suggestions I could put forth toward bettering the group. Obviously you and others can't see what we do outside the game environment, but any constructive criticism you have for me regarding in-game OR out-of-game situations besides the bland answer "more creative chants" would be greatly appreciated. I'm working tirelessly to make this group better for the betterment of Missouri basketball.

I understand many don't like the group and think we're drunken assholes, but really the only objective for us to have the other team spending some time preparing and thinking about us before and during the game, rather than focusing on who they're playing. Norm Stewart appreciated it greatly and Big XII coaches like Bill Self will tell you that they do recognize us before they enter Mizzou Arena. And we don't drink on gamedays contrary to popular belief.

I appreciate your time, and thanks for any help that you're willing to give,

A diehard Mizzou fan just like yourself.
In the next few days we're going to have a special post from Brent explaining in more detail the Antlers' side of things and why they have the perception that they currently do. I'm also going to try to put together a post suggesting ways to improve the group. But in the meantime, lets hear from MizzouRah's loyal readers. What can the Antlers do to return to their lost glory?
