Alright, well here we go…this one’s gonna count tomorrow and I’m about as ready as anyone for college hoops again. We’ve had eight months now to find our own ways to get the taste of Baylor handing it to us in the Big 12 Tourney out of our mouths. My plan was to use about 2 bottles of Listerine a day, but that crap burns like a California wildfire and the taste is still there. So on to plan B---Put that one behind us, try to tell yourself that Baylor may actually be pretty damn decent this year, and start supporting this year’s troops.
Tomorrow at seven the Tigers will host the Chippewas of Central Michigan in the opening round of the CBE Classic. If all goes as planned, the CBE Classic pits us up with UCLA, Michigan St, and Maryland in the semi and final rounds in the new Sprint Center in KC. But, if you’re not the type to count your chickens, you’ll be paying attention tomorrow night and hoping we don’t slip up.

Things to look for:

1) DeMarre Caroll- I’m thinking the Chippewas are going to have a hell of a time trying to stop this man child.

2) Here’s my starting 5:
Carroll
Lyons
Hannah
K. Lawrence
M Lawrence
You never know what CMA has up his sleeve though. I’d love to be able to put Brown in there over M Lawrence, but CMA seems just as confused as you and I on him, and Brown will have to earn it if he wants a starting spot.

3) A lot of people think we are a pretty deep team, which we are, SORT OF. Anderson won’t hesitate to go deep into Mizzou’s bench. But if you go deeper than Butterfield, Brown, and Tiller, we lose a lot in my opinion (Freshman Justin Safford may be ok too, we’ll see). In a game like tomorrow though, expect guys to be flying off the bench left and right without noticing much, as we should be superior athletically to the Chippewas for the most part. Look for the bench to rack up some points tomorrow.
Prediction: Mizzou cruises at home
Mizzou:86
Central Mich: 62
