-Chase Daniel did good, but not great at least in his terms (27-46, 328yds, 2 TDs). The interception broke his streak of attempting to break the coveted ‘Most completions between INTs’ streak (235 in a row). Last time he threw a pick, I was in the west side of Memorial Stadium in Lincoln plowing thru a Runza. He actually threw a pair of picks Saturday, one going for six. You can’t really complain with 328 yards and a pair of TDs, right? Just think, seven or eight years ago we had Kirk Farmer, Darius Outlaw, and Jim Dougherty in the stable. I can’t believe I didn’t bite the business end of a 9mm at that point. Expectations for #10 have gotten pretty high, son! He also had a rushing six-pointer from 39 yards.
-T-Squared had a good game, but should have done better against a defense that can’t stop a girl from the orphanage from reeling off 100+ on them. Temple had 96yds on 16 carries. The six yard average is nice. The Tiger rushing attack was fairly successful and well spread out among players.
-Defense was so-so again. Up big at the half, and just letting Western Michigan have the idea to get back into the game in the 2nd half. Props to Ziggy Hood and Brock Christopher (10 tackles, INT). Van Alexander seemed to be involved a lot, but clamp down that damn rushing defense. We make every back look like the second coming of Walter Payton.
-What happened to Stryker Sulak? You beat out Xzavie Jackson your freshman year, only to deuce it up and lose your job your sophomore year. I saw you dominate against Texas in a loss at Faurot in ’05, but where have you been? You’re terrible at tackling, and had better hope the RB trips on a sprinkler before you blow past him with an arm tackle. That clothesline shit doesn’t work in the Big XII.

-William Moore was good on defense as well (led team with 11 tackles). He needs to wrap up on tackles before he gets blown up by better players. He tackles like a Sea Monkey; just bumping into everything. Works in sumo wrestling, not as a safety.
-Shakespeare’s Pizza Playa of the Week goes to Jeremy Maclin. I’m tired of giving it to Chase since I don’t want him to get Jared Lorenzen Fat. J-Mac had a great game; seven catches, 96yds, and a pair of TDS (one rushing, one receiving). Along with the rushing TD, he had 52yds on the ground. One of Big Head’s favorite blogs, Every True Son, hit it best with comparing him to Florida’s Percy Harvin. And we have Maclin for another three years, right?
Missouri also makes their season debut in the AP and Coaches Poll, both at 25. Little questionable with the pile of shit defense, but the offense might equal that out.
