It's a clean up process today at Faurot Field after the destruction of Nevada by 52 points, 69-17. The geezers had to get back to the Reno casinos to get their 2x points coupons and hit the early bird buffet. A gripload of Victory Whiskey was devoured after looking stout against one of the better WAC packers.

-Chase Daniel solidified his name in Heisman balloting after throwing 4 scores and 405 yards in basically two quarters. I haven't seen that much chucking since I dated that bulimic girl and took her to Happy Joe's Pizza. Dude was hitting everything. The best catch of the day belonged to Jeremy Maclin's toe-drag TD. On Maclin's long, 80 yard TD, Chase set the Mizzou passing yardage record. Nice work.

-Jeremy Maclin is fast. Just in case you didn't know. It is obvious the guy isn't from Kirkwood, but has to be from the Fortress of Solitude. Running down the sideline, you just saw him pulling away from everyone. WOW.

-The defense did what's it's done in almost every game for the past three years- sucked in one half, and excellent in the other. The secondary (not looking right at you Justin Garrett, but you know I am) blew some coverage badly at times. The Pistol O that Nevada runs is a little janky, but it works efficiently. We won't see another offense like that, but the way Nevada ran the ball and dipped and dunked, it gave B12 teams a blueprint. Basically, the small shit keeps Chase and Co. off the field, which isn't what we need.

-Chase Patton is one of the top five backup QBs in the NCAA today. The guy can ball, as we saw yesterday. Blaine Gabbert didn't look bad, and his size helps him out big time. It's funny to watch Patton/Gabbert, both well over 6ft tall running the offense that we're used to seeing Daniel, at 5-11ish run.

-Shakespeare's Pizza Playa of the Game has to go to Chase Daniel. When you're on pace for around 700+ yards passing before getting the hook, you get a pizza. Insane stats.

So a 52 point win is always good. Next week we get former Husker QB and now head coach, Turner Gill and his Buffalo Bulls. Mmmmmm, buffalo. His squad beat powerhouse, Temple (no, not Tony) on a last second hailmary on Saturday.
