8:28 p.m. V. Volkus dunks in Maric's face! And is fouled. Four fouls on Maric. 12:10 to go. 45-44 NU after VV makes free throw.
8:32 p.m. Self is getting nervous. KSU leads with 12:51 left 47-45.8:32 Neb. leads 47-44 with 11 min left. Volkus hits a 10-footer from the baseline, 47-46.
8:34 p.m. NU on a quick 4-0 run 51-46 Nubs. 10:24 left.
8:36 p.m. Link: "J.T. Tiller taking Harley to school". MU down three with 9:50 left. Link is on a roll: "That guy is a charge waiting to happen" about an NU player not sure who.
8:36 p.m. Tiller with a steal to Ebony Lawrence and he dunks it. Down one.
8:37 p.m. VVolkus fouls Harley. He could be on the football kamikazee team.
8:38 p.m. KSU 52-45, less than 12 minutes left. They just banked in a three. The streak might end tonight.
8:39 p.m. 7:57 left in the game. Mizzou down one. Volkus just called for another foul. His fourth.
8:39 p.m. It looks very, very loud in Manhattan. Good sign: "Party Like It's 1983".
8:40 p.m. The cops better be out in force in Manhattan because they might burn that place down if they win.
8:41 Beasley dunk. 57-45 KSU, 9:58 left. Another good sign: "That just happened".
8:43 p.m. Ivory fouls NU driver. NU leads 55-52. We need to get over this hump. Link: "They were a little bit tired".
8:43 p.m. Mike Anderson, Jr. checks back in.
8:45 p.m. Chalmers just tried to drive by Beasley. He swatted him. Next possesion he made the New York Alien look foolish and got the rebound. Time out KSU. 7:31 left. 57-49 KSU.
8:48 p.m. Time-out Nebraska, winning 58-54, with 5:19 left.
8:50 p.m. Volkus lay-up. Mizzou down 2 with four minutes left.
8:51 p.m. Beasley drills a three 59-51 KSU. Ivory Lawrence with a hoop for a 58-58 tie.
8:53 p.m. I don't feel too good about playing KSU Saturday, but I'm rooting like hell for them tonight.
8:54 p.m. Three-pointer KSU leads 64-55. Maric just fouled out for Nebraska. NU up 60-58.
8:55 p.m. Beasley for three! 67-57 KSU with 4 minutes left.
8:57 p.m. Volkus hits a 15-footer to tie it at 60-60.
8:58 p.m. 62-60 NU with one minute to play. Ebony Lawrence misses a layup. NU with the rebound. Time-out Nubs 48 seconds left.
9:01 p.m. NU lay-up and gets the MU miss on the other end. Nubs shooting free throws. MU down four with 7.5 seconds left. Good effort by the Tigers but not quite enough in the end.
9:02 p.m. only one thing to cheer for now (see below)...
9:03 p.m. 73-61 Kansas State 2:57 left. 9:04 p.m. Manhattan is burning to the ground tonight.
9:04 p.m. 66-62 Nebraska final score. Good effort, Tigers.
9:08 p.m. Kansas State up 12 with 2:27 to play. A lot of K-State alums are happy tonight. I can't wait until Mizzou ends Nebraska's home dominance over us in football next season (how many FBall references is that?).
9:10 p.m. Chalmers is a dweeb. Missed the first free throw for the Beakers.
9:11 p.m. Gary Link gives the player of the game to Volkus. No complaints here. He played with heart.
9:12 p.m. If KSU makes it's free throws it's over. 77-65 with 2:08 left.
9:12 p.m. Frank Martin's suit looks about two sizes too big. You're not coaching in high school anymore, Frank. You are in Manhattan, though, so the fact you're not wearing overalls is a step up. Or a mock turtle neck.
9:17 p.m. It is going to be a wild night in Aggieville. This court is getting stormed.
9:19 p.m. Dave Armstrong has mentioned getting "run over by the students" three times now. Jon Sundvold just told him to quit being a pussy.
9:20 p.m. Bill Walker with a dunk. 83-75 KSU. It's really over now.
9:21 p.m. Self is doing a good job stretching this game out but he's just delaying the inevitable.
9:22 p.m. The Streak is over 84-75. It is fucking nuts on that court right now. Congrats, Wildcats.
9:23 p.m. Let down game against Mizzou on Saturday? Let's hope so. Good night. See you tomorrow.
