Great piece on Maclin adapting to the speed of the NFL in the Tribune.
In fact, Eagles wide receivers coach Dave Culley spent much of the morning session pulling aside No. 18 to make adjustments. Culley reminded his pupil to keep his hands up while cutting on one occasion and to look the ball into his grip before turning upfield on another. But what was the most common criticism Maclin faced?
“They said I glide, so I’m gonna try to stop gliding,” he said. “I’m just gonna run full speed everywhere I go now.”
Gliding! Maclin was gliding! So Maclin will actually be going faster now. Holy shit.
