Picture yourself sitting there in front of your TV on Saturday night: eating fried foods, drinking beer, hanging with hot women. Pretty boring, huh? Now picture yourself sitting there watching the game, then hopping on your computer to read about the things that just happened, accompanied by smartass comments and wrasslin' references?

Lucky bastard; you've hit the jackpot.

BertFlex's own "The Good Face" and I will be live-blogging the game this Saturday night for your entertainment. To get a feel for what we're all about, check out our MLB Draft and HR Derby live-blogs from earlier this year.

I know there's a lot of readin' in those links, but the people on my payroll tell me I'm funny and amazingly talented. And if we can make a four hour long Baseball Draft halfway fun to follow along, just think of what we can do with the season opener?

Actually, scratch that - expect the worst from us. We'll really suck this time. We're due.

During July's Home Run Derby live-blog, I received 34 text messages from the BertFlex staff and friends of the site. As a personal challenge to (some) of you, I would like to see that record broken. Although I pattern my life after Mike Jones as often as possible, I won't give out my phone number to the public. Those who are in "the know" (Mizzourah writers and misc skanks) have access to my digits, so feel free to text in your thoughts during the game.

We'll have plenty of wit and wisdom from our own Big Head, who will be reporting live from the least electrifying football venue in the universe, the Edward Jones Dome (right here in St. Louis, MO).

For the rest of you, we'll expect the comment section to be flooded with thoughts, game analysis, and (most likely) harsh criticism for the bloggers.
