ESPN's Chad Ford has released his third NBA mock draft and after some impressive workouts has DeMarre Carroll going to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the last pick in the first round. (No. 3o overall.)
Analysis: The Cavs could lose both Ben Wallace and Anderson Varejao this summer. Carroll isn't as big as those guys, but he's got the same sort of frantic energy that made them so successful. He's a blue-collar worker who would fit in well with what the Cavs do.
I had never thought to compare JYD to Varejao but I think that's a great comparison. I think if there's one player in the NBA who I would compare DeMarre's game to it would be Varejao's. As Ford points out, they both play with a lot of energy. DeMarre was a better shooter in college than Varejao is but once DeMarre gets to the next level I think they will be about even. Varejao has a significant size advantage but I think DeMarre is a better ballhandler and probably has more range than Varejao. They both even have crazy haircuts.

This pick makes a lot of sense for the Cavs and I'm going to predict that this is where JYD will end up. And I think King James will get along much better with DeMarre than he did with this ass hat who played the same position.
