I know a lot of people either don't understand or flat out just effin' hate Twitter, but if you're a Missouri Tiger basketball fan and you're not checking Kim English's Twitter page every hour then you're doing yourself a disservice. And I know I've already posted about this multiple times on here but seriously, it's really sweet.
Here's a post from this morning:
Kimmie English: is in st. Louis airport, and there's so many Illinois fans here, we gotta beat them this year, I hate seeing fans of the 7 teams we lost to
And a little over 30 minutes ago:
Kimmie English: a guy just told me, mizzou's chances of winning it all next year are likely as a man walking on water, I said, there was this 1 guy
First off, +1 to Kimmie for that clever barb. Secondly, that guy can go to hell. I personally think the Nebraska football team has very little chance of winning the Big 12 North next season. But if I run into Ndamukong Suh at an airport I'm not saying that to him. I'd just spit on him.
Also, earlier in the week Kimmie posted that he and Keith Ramsey had watched the UConn game for the first time. After that game in my season wrap-up post I wrote that I see Kimmie as the kind of guy who will spend July evenings inside Mizzou Arena watching that tape and then would workout until dawn. Looks like I hit the nail on the head.
And on a final related note, the NCAA is likely going to be changing its rule regarding free throws when the shooter is injured and unable to take his shots. From now on the opposing team's coach will be selecting which player shoots the free throws from the remaining players on the floor.
We also understand that this has sparked a debate between Kimmie and J.T. Tiller over whether the rule should be dubbed the "Kim English Rule" or the "J.T. Tiller Rule." We're gonna let Mizzourah's readers decide this one. See the poll to the right? Vote. Do it for Kimmie. Or J.T. Whoever you prefer.
