So I get a little pissed off every six months with State Farm comes calling for me to shell out some bucks to insure my ride. Sure, it's only twice a year, but **knock on wood**, I've never been in a car crash. Yet, if I leave work tomorrow and plow into a garbage truck and my prized Benz turns into something resembling a Volkswagon and Sleezy's old S-10, I'll be thankful that Don Moore slapped me and took my $720. Side bar- If I had one wish, I would want for him to magically turn into Diane Nichols, the hot agent in the TV commercials. One question Diane; Can I holla at ya?Anyway, I'll put my pants on and get back to being thankful for insurance policies...I'm very happy that an insurance policy named Chase Patton is coming back to Mizzou.
Patton IS coming back to Columbia to be a professional clipboard holder. He was favored to be the heir apparent after Brad Smith, but 'the other Chase' beat him out, and Patton has stayed his four years in Columbia. Good thing he pulled on a redshirt the first year. Sure, CP already has his degree, and could easily pack up the wifey and say 'Screw it! Let's go to Kansas City for dental school', which he contemplated doing. Can't really blame him if he was going to pass up being a Tiger in '08. Yet, he knows in '08 that Mizzou has a shot at something sweet, and Chase Daniel is one garbage truck...I mean hit from being out and CP being the man on the team he's followed since he was a kid in Columbia.
CP coming back basically ensures that Blaine Gabbert will be redshirted, and sophomore Dominic Grooms will be the 3rd stringer.
