The Kansas City Chiefs have released former Mizzou wide receiver Will "Helicopta" Franklin. Helicopter only caught seven passes for 83 yards. As a Chiefs' fan I can tell you that he was only actually thrown to approximately three times. So the fact that he caught seven passes is impressive.
I'm pretty bummed about this. I had high hopes that Franklin would develop into a solid no. 3 WR and I could buy a customized KC "Helicopter" jersey. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Best of luck, Helicopter. Hope you catch on somewhere else. If not, you Which Wich franchise in downtown CoMo still appears to be booming.
