Thanks to a stress fracture in Kyle Gibson's throwing arm we might the Missouri ace and Baseball America's number four prospect drop out of the first round. The unfortunate part of this is that according to ESPN's Keith Law, who spoke with Bernie Miklasz on ESPN 101.1 here in St. Louis, doctors can't seem to agree on the severity of Gibson's injury and that it might not just be a simple reconstruction surgery which is likely to scare a lot of teams away not willing to give first round money to an injured prospect.

As a Cardinals fan I'd be more than happy to Gibson pitching in Busch III sometime soon but I doubt Mozeliak would take a righty with their first pick.

The 2009 MLB Draft starts tomorrow at 5:00pm CT and will air on The MLB Network with updates at the bottom of every hour on ESPNEWS. You know, if you care.
