Byron Eaton (above) sunk perhaps the most unathletic Eaton, the fat, slow, pretty ordinary point guard who is essentially Oklahoma State's entire offensive (along with Marcus Dove) ran the show for OSU. The Cowboys made 14 three-pointers against the Tigers.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Mizzou got a career night from junior Leo Lyons (above), who scored 27 points on 12-for-13 shooting. Lyons added 18 rebounds. That, my friends, is what we will hopefully be seeing next season. The loss was crippling to any NCAA Tournament dreams, no matter how far-fetched they seemed. This team is playing for the future and has been for a while but that doesn't make this loss any easier to stomach. It was there for the taking, Mizzou had as much as an eight point lead in the second half.
Oh, well, at least the annoying moron Bruce Pearl's No. 1 Tennessee lost tonight to Vandy.
