This weekend the Washington Redskins took a chance by drafting former Nebraska linebacker Cody Glenn in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Glenn was suspended from the team in November. Glenn told the Washington Post that his suspension was because of his involvement in a ticket-scalping incident, which would be an NCAA violation.
In the Nubs' defense, they have apparently investigated the situation and concluded that there was no violation. But this is a lose-lose for Glenn. He was either dumb enough to scalp his tickets that are alloted for family and friends or he straight up lied about this shit.
I've always had a special place in my heart for Glenn because throughout the '05 Mizzou-Nebraska game (aka 41-24 Part II) me and my buddy were repeatedly reassured by a couple of Husker fans that Glenn—who was a running back at the time—was the second coming of Lawrence Phillips. Well, I guess they were sorta right.
