away at the lead...but any time we got close enough to take the lead back, we shot ourselves in the foot. That 5-2 record of ours now consists of two three point losses, and if we plan on being a solid tourney team with hopes of winning a few when we get there, Mizzou is gonna have to find a way to win some close ones. Here's what I saw last night:The good:
1) Stefhon Hannah---In this game and against Mich St, Hannah kept us in this game. His back has got to hurt today from carrying this team all night.
2) It was very nice to see the Arkansas fans welcome CMA back with a warm greeting. They had no reason not to, but still a classy move.
The not so good:
1) Too many fouls. The style we play just begs the refs to call fouls on us, and we're going to find ourselves in foul trouble often. Carroll got into foul trouble again last night, and really hurt us for the second time this season. Any time Carroll, Keon, or Hannah get into foul trouble early, I don't like our chances.2) Our inability to regain a lead late in the game after battling back really showed last night. Keon missing three consecutive layups on one posession to give us the lead inside two minutes left really broke our back.
3) Arkansas broke our press with ease in the first half, and had a ton of easy points thanks to backcourt turnovers by Mizzou.
4) JT Tiller hustles his ass off, but he's got to learn how to control himself. He gets going too fast for his own good and can't make easy shots because of it.
Shake that one off, and get 'em on Saturday after the big football game.
