Ok Pinkel, slow down. It's looking like the borders are closing on Missouri recruits. The Tigers nabbed another stud in-state commit for '09, this time it's LB Adam Burton from Lee's Summit (KC for the geographically retarded). Here's what you need to know about Mr. Burton:-He blew his knee out last year (2nd "blown knee" post today for Mizzourah. Yikes!). He was released by the doc on the morning of the Mizzou Camp and popped a 4.8 forty. Pretty good for running the 40. I can drink a 40 quicker though.
-According to JP at Show Me Sports, the coaches "say that he could red-shirt but they expect him to compete early, possibly see some time on special teams and to play early in his career."
-Another quick commit by Pinkel. Like Alex Sanders, Burton decided after one weekend to take Mizzou's offer.
A lot is expected out of this kid, and he could be the '09 Van Alexander. Nice. For those of you that just can't stand to look at a 17yr old kid in a Under Armor/Spandex shirt showing guns, here's some video of some players playing football. One happens to be Adam Burton (#42).
