It's just hit me today what the hell we are doing. Missouri is on the cover of this week's SI proclaiming that we're #1 in the nation, and we are now a winnable game away from playing for the BCS title. Out of the Big XII South, I actually like Oklahoma. I hate their coach, but it's hard not to root for them against Texas, and for the most part, their fans are pretty good. As I saw at last year's B12 title game, Oklahoma fans like to drink A LOT. As I grab another glass of Victory Whiskey, let's take a look at this game:

-Oklahoma got housed against Texas Tech a few weeks ago. Granted, the game was in Lubbock, on ABC, and at night, which gave Tech an advantage, but Oklahoma looked terrible defending a decent spread offense. Mizzou's spread offense is 10x better due to the fact that we actually have a running back. The Sooners knew the pass was coming the entire game and couldn't stop them.

-Tony Temple didn't play against Oklahoma. It was the coming out party for Derrick Washington in Norman, but T-Squared has been on fire lately. He's regained his power running, which can't bode well for anyone in the Big XII. He is a hell of an option in the backfield and will keep the OU defense on their toes.

-Sam Bradford is horrible on the road. I've used all the analogies; worse on the road than my grandpa after a 12pk of Milwaukee's Best, shakier than my grandma after a Red Bull, etc. Both of Oklahoma's losses have been in their very few true road games, and Bradford stunk more than a roadkill raccoon after a week in summer heat. Basically, he's terrible away from home.

-The Sooners are more beat up than Sleezy's S-10 truck in high school, and that was held together with birdshit and rust. DeMarco Murray is out for the year, defensive end Auston English is out for this game (terrorized Mizzou in Norman), Sam Bradford is coming off a concussion a couple weeks ago, and the defense is down two other D-Ends.

-Lately, the Tiger defense has been more prude than Mother Theresa. They have improved since the debacle in Norman. Even then, it wasn't the defense's fault.

-T Rucker wants to go out a winner. Period. That alone gives the heart of the Tigers a bigger jolt than the time my buddy clamped his finger to his car battery for $10. Best $10 I've ever spent.

We are one win away from playing West Fucking Virginia for the BCS title game. This season has been amazing, and it won't stop here. Most of the media is picking OU to win, but Lee Corso popped Truman's head on. We won last week with Corso on our side, we are 2-0 in neutral site games this season (during Pinkel's reign at Mizzou, we have a great neutral site record), Mizzou is coming off a high of beating an overrated Kansas team, and we have the chip on our shoulder of being underdogs in this game. Looks pretty damn good. I'll go 41-31 Mizzou and on to Nawlins for a matchup with the Mountaineers.
