HUSKER MELTDOWN! ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHH.

Here's the lowdown via the Husker message boards.

At 10:30pm last night, a co-worker of mine whose son is a football player for the Huskers, told me that he had just spoken with his son and that his son told him that Zac Lee has a broken thumb and possibly a broken wrist. The doctors were setting it in a cast sometime yesterday evening. A short time later, another co-worker of mine with significant ties to the program told me the same thing.

Those are all the details I have. I don't know at what point he sustained the injury, when they found out, how long he's expected to be gone, etc....... The story has not yet hit the media outlets that I am aware of. Probably because the Huskers have not practiced yet, so therefore no media reporting of the situation. I have no further information than what I've reported here.

I want to stress, that with any story or rumor such as this, that there is always the potential for it to be completely false. However, given the significance of my sources, I felt the information was reliable, and so I decided to share with you all.

I know many of you despise "rumor" threads and can really let the authors of such threads "have it". I understand if you want to do this to me, but I felt that the information I had was substantial and the sources reliable. If the mods feel the need to close such thread, I understand as well.

I suspect that at some point today, this will go public and then we'll all know for sure.

Linkage for more Big Red meltdown, including comparing Cody Green (yet another backup) to Vince Young.
