Old School Kellen Winslow Era Brew E-mail

Last week when I was google imaging "Jason Horton" I somehow managed to run across this pic of a Mizzou beer from the late '70s:

First off, AWESOME. Does anyone know the story behind these things? What they tasted like? Where they were brewed? Etc? Secondly, if people think those new tiger-striped Bud Light cans are encouraging college students to drink more what must these bad boys have done? Students must have been drunk 24/7.

Also, if you know where I can get an unopened can of one of these things please let me know. I've got to have one so I can crack it open and pour it on myself Stone Cold Steve Austin style if the Tigers ever win a National Championship.

I was going to say, these things are all over eBay or, even easier, Craigslist.

Nice. I've got to find an unopened one, though. And I'm refusing to buy from the guy Hat linked to because he doesn't appear to know the difference between LSU and Mizzou.

It's from '78 Liberty Bowl or "Tiger Bowl" where Mizzou beat LSU.

A quick Ebay search yields several different can designs. Check out this one, in which a Tiger is pouring a glass of beer from a tap that dispenses from Missouri's bootheel!

@Hat: Disregard my last comment then.

@davemacd: Your link isn't working for me and I can't find the one you're referring to on Ebay but there are some pretty sweet ones on there. Definitely going to be making a few purchases once i get a little money in my papypal account.

they just don't make them like the used to.

I'm amazed by:

(1) how easily accessible these cans are and
(2) how quickly people responded with exactly how anyone can get their hands on these cans (that I assumed were rare) immediately.

@True Son: Did you actually take money out of your PayPal account? Say, from two weeks ago?
