It's been a while since I've gushed about my man-crush on Kim English. With football season beginning and all I guess I've gotten sidetracked. I hope he doesn't take the lack of attention personally because this is definitely long overdue.
Be sure to check out Kimmie's performance at Poetry at the Park at Peace Park Thursday night. Some great lines in there. And if that's not enough for you check out his most recent Facebook status update: "My thought process this weekend...every college bball player just had a hard week of wrk outs, conditioning, weights and pick up.. So did I.. BUT every college bball plyr is prob gonna chill Friday night and enjoy a football game on Saturday.. So I'm gonna be diff.. Have a fun relaxing weekend, (I'm in the LAB) go to the first half of the fb game, then back in the lab..(greatness is obtainable)"
And in case you don't regularly Facebook/Twitter stalk Kimmie like I do, the lab is the gym. This is my kind of poetry, Kimmie.
Update: Our boy RPT over at Rock M has put together an incredible montage to go with Kimmie's poem and has also added the music from the NBA-Where-Amazing-Happens commercials. Is it me or do Kim's words sound 10Xs more poetic with that music playing behind him? Also, is it possible to incorporate this into Mizzou's pre-game intro video? At least parts?
