I've gone on record saying the Mizzou fans sucked during last Thursday's Nebraska game. But generally speaking, I think Tiger Nation does a solid job whenever it has a solid team to get behind. That wasn't the case Thursday but I still think that was an aberration.
But this story from the Topeka Capital-Journal, however, is just embarrassing:
"It is disappointing when you're in a conference game and you're a top 20 team and you're in a close game where you could really use some fan support, and half the student section leaves," quarterback Todd Reesing said. "All the guys notice that on the team. It's hard not to notice."
As much as I hate them kU basketball fans are some of the most passionate in the country. But collectively their football fans remain a pathetic joke.
