Nobody can deny that Phil Steele is a college football luminary who has earned the right to have his opinions respected. But what's his deal with the 2009 Missouri Tigers? Before the season started Steele had the Tigers projected at 5th in the Big XII North. Most pundits had the Tigers no worse than 3rd. Phil predicted an Illinois blowout victory to open the season. And before this week's throwdown in Boulder, the man had Missouri, out of the ENTIRE FBS, as one of two upset specials.
Missouri won 36 - 17. C'mon Phil, get off the Tigers' backs!
