Not asking for a mutiny against us seeing how everyone has their eyes on football, but Monday is the last day for most MLB Draft picks to sign. I say 'most' because it doesn't apply to ex-Tiger Aaron Crow since he was drafted out of Indy League ball instead of high school or college. Either way, Crow is becoming a pain in the ass to the Royals according to ESPN's Keith Law (via MLBTradeRumors.com).

ESPN.com's Keith Law hears that the Royals offered top pick Aaron Crow $3MM only to hear that it will take a better offer. The two sides have more time than most to work out a deal, since Crow played independent ball this year and isn't subject to Monday's deadline for signing picks.

Law doesn't see any reason for the Royals to boost their offer, which he calls "more than generous." Last year the Nats drafted Crow and failed to sign him; it`s hard to imagine anyone putting off his pro debut for two years, especially if there`s a $3MM offer available.

I'm not here to say how much Crow is worth, but considering he skipped out on signing with the ever-dysfunctional Washington Nationals last year, and now holding off another year on signing with the Royals, the guy is losing leverage every day. He can go up to a week before the '10 MLB Draft before signing with the Royals before the Royals lose his rights.

Twins 1st rounder, Kyle Gibson, on the other hand, is close to a deal. Rumor has it the Twins are having Gibby throw for them to make sure his arm is ok after it was fractured right before the draft. Gibson has more leverage than Crow since he could head back to Mizzou, hence, Gibson and the Twins must sign-off  on a deal by Monday.
