I've been following the story of Oklahoma LB Mike Balogun, who has been deemed ineligible due to playing some semi-pro football a few years ago. You might remember the background on Balogun. He was doing construction, and blah blah blah, he's starting for the Sooners.

Well, the problem for the Sooners is Mike Balogun played in a handful of games for the Sooners in '08, including the B12 title game against Mizzou. If Balogun is deemed ineligible as Memphis' Derrick Rose was, the Sooners could end of forfeiting all the games he played in during the '08 season...including the Big 12 Championship Game to Mizzou. According to an AP article:

Even if a judge had ruled that Balogun could play this season, that still wouldn't have settled the issue. If Balogun eventually lost his lawsuit, Oklahoma may have had to forfeit any games that he played.

So just like your godawful Little League team, a forfeit still counts as a win, and everyone gets to go out for pizza and ice cream if your parents are rich, or your dad can steal Fun Dip from the 7-11 if you're parents are poor. Either way, IT'S A CELEBRATION! Your Big 12 Champs gear will be on sale soon, and we already have a preview of the shirt.
