In case you missed it, our boy Chase Daniel had one helluva NFL debut for the Washington Racist Mascots on Saturday night. Chase completed six of his eight passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns against the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. His 18-yard touchdown pass to Fred Davis in the fourth quarter proved to be the game winner in a 17-13 Washington victory. (Who says Chase can't lead a fourth quarter comeback?)
He was also apparently sacked by Ziggy Hood at one point. (Ziggy finished with four tackles and two sacks.) Thank God I didn't see that or my head might have exploded.
Update: Dave Matter has more on Chase's solid performance (be sure to read the "convo" Chase had with Joe Theismann). I have to admit I didn't really give Chase a chance of making an NFL roster but he may damn well prove me wrong.
